Square Roots for High School Part 3

The purpose of this bundle is to help you, the teacher, develop a deep understanding and procedural fluency with square root numbers, arithmetic and the order of operations.  There is a lot of information in that little statement, and to support it, this bundle has two sets of reference notes for students and two homework assignments.

As always, we feel the addition of the reference notes is a great way to increase literacy, both with English, technical writing, and mathematics.  Simply assign the reading as part of the lesson or homework.  The addition of the student notes also provides a good avenue towards effective flipped classroom approaches.

When you download this bundle you’ll receive a zip folder with a Read Me document that organizes all of the documents within, making deploying the lesson easy.  The folder also includes a PowerPoint lesson, a lesson guide (plan), a document with teaching tips for this topic, reference notes to assign for student reading or reference, one homework assignment, and links to internet hosted information aligned with this lesson for student or parent reference.   The online information includes videos, online notes, an activity with Desmos and practice problems from Khan Academy.
