Exponents Part 1 (Basic Concepts)

This bundle helps you set up all the conceptual understanding to really master exponents, and the procedures involved with manipulation of exponents.   It is imperative that students understand that multiplication is a short-hand way of writing repeated addition.  Exponents are a short-hand way of writing repeated multiplication.  It is from this idea that all of the “rules,” or “laws,” of exponents are derived.  All of the rules can be discovered, which is handy when a student forgets, and the lesson here shows exactly how to help students discover the basic properties of exponents.
