Description
The purpose of this quiz is to provide students with two things. First, they get the opportunity to demonstrate their ability dealing with inequalities in one variable. This includes basics like reading and graphing to solving absolute value inequalities, and everything in between. The second thing students receive is an experience in applied problem solving. There are a few questions on the quiz that will stretch their understanding and involve creative problem solving and an introspective review of what they’ve thought and done. The problems are appropriate for students at this level.
The quiz is three pages in length, and should take between 45 and 55 minutes.
The quiz includes a grading document which helps you grade quickly and decide how to fairly and consistently assign partial credit and provide feedback to students.
