Teaching Practices
How a teacher conducts the art of teaching influences student outcomes more than what the teacher teaches. While there is not a one-size-fits-all playbook for teaching, we believe there are common philosophies, a common pedagogical orientation, that all highly effective teachers share. We are exploring, defining, challenging and refining these beliefs in classrooms by working with teachers.
If you’re interested in exploring your own practices in order to develop and progress as a teacher, please join our team! We want to help all members progress towards the embodiment of their vision of the Ideal Teacher. Learn more about what we do, and how, below.
Self Paced Courses
Increasing Engagement (online and traditional)
You can take a horse to water, but cannot make him drink. However, you can make the horse thirsty and then offer water.
This is an exploration into why students respond, and why they do not respond.
Pedagogical Orientation
There are three elements that are fundamental to all high quality teaching. Learn what they are, why they’re important. Then, see how you stack up in each element.
Ideal Self
This is a continuation of Pedagogical Orientation. Here you will learn to structure and recruit support of your development and progress towards being your vision of the Ideal Teacher.
